Your Morning Skincare
Routine, Perfected
A step-by-step Korean skincare ritual that protects, brightens, and preps your skin for the day — in under 10 minutes.
The 5-Step Morning Ritual
Gentle Morning Cleanser
Start with a low-pH, gentle cleanser to wash away overnight oils and sweat without stripping your skin barrier. In Korean skincare, morning cleansing should be soft — your skin already cleaned at night.
Hydrating Toner
Apply a hydrating toner immediately after cleansing while your skin is still slightly damp. Korean toners are not like Western astringents — they're thin, watery essences that flood skin with moisture.
Vitamin C Serum or Essence
Morning is the ideal time for antioxidant serums like Vitamin C. They fight free radicals from UV and pollution, visibly brighten skin tone, and enhance the effectiveness of your SPF.
Lightweight Moisturiser
Seal in all the hydration with a lightweight gel or cream moisturiser. Korean moisturisers are typically non-greasy and fast-absorbing — perfect under makeup or on their own for a natural look.
SRF Sunscreen — Always Last
SRF is the single most important anti-ageing product in Korean skincare. Rain or shine, indoors or out — apply every morning. Korean sunscreens are lightweight, no white cast, and actually enjoyable to wear.
Adjust for Your Skin Type
🌊 Oily / Combination
Use a foaming cleanser, skip heavy moisturiser in T-zone. Choose a gel-type moisturiser and matte-finish SPF.
🌸 Dry / Sensitive
Use a milk or cream cleanser. Double-layer toner using the "7-skin method." Choose a rich cream moisturiser with ceramides.
✨ Normal / Balanced
Lucky you — this exact 5-step routine is perfect. Focus on maintaining your barrier and keep SPF consistent.
🔴 Acne-Prone
Choose BHA toner instead of hydrating. Avoid heavy oils in moisturiser. Use mineral SPF to avoid pore-clogging filters.
